Root Jeans
Today I show you “Root”,, the point of the colors is to represent my own nativity brown skin . The pants also represents tree trunk to show our strength and foundation .
This color was possible using my own technique of tie dye and a process of layers of natural and synthetic dyes. 😅
The jeans are upcycle and repurpose 2000s Women GAP Jeans and cut to new jeans with our own pattern and cuts.
A process of 7 steps to get 1 pair done :
1-Thrifting the 2000 Gap Spring season ONLY
2-Breaking it down
3-Dying it brown
4-Drying the jeans
5-Putting all pieces back to a fabric
6-Cutting the pattern
7-Sewing it back to one pair
This makes every single jeans have irregularity that is unique to each pair
Have fun and enjoy them
